Successful PCR amplification of the CGG triplet repeat region in the FMR1 gene is already proven to be a challenge. Existing workflows further complicate the situation by putting every sample through Southern Blot or capillary electrophoresis after the amplification process.
TNR's FastFraX™ FMR1 analysis kits overcome these obstacles by incorporating a streamlined workflow where the Identification kit screens easily for samples with premutation and/or full mutation alleles. As a result, only few samples are subject to further confirmatory tests with the Sizing kit or Methylation Status kit.
With a streamlined workflow and complete suite of kits to meet different testing needs, Fragile X testing is now possible even for cohort screening.
